Rack Configuration and Deployment Services
EDP Data Centre Solutions provides rack configuration and rack deployment services to support its customers improve the speed of deployment and efficiency on-site.
EDP DCS’s off and on-site services complement its clients complex infrastructure projects and improve profitability by enabling them to focus on their core technical services.
By utilising EDP’s off-site storage facilities for rack staging, equipment installation and pre-configuration much of the preliminary base build can be completed and tested prior to arriving at site. Through simplified logistics, and carrying out repeatable system builds, including testing, DOA, and asset tagging, deployment times are accelerated as racks arrive at site ready to ‘Plug & Play’. Additionally, on-site waste is minimised as all packaging have been recycled prior to delivery.
EDP DCS will work with its clients to define the specification of rack required, providing its services in conjunction with its own range of racks or in some cases, client specified and free-issued racks. The internal rack infrastructure will be specified in collaboration with the customer and installed by EDP DCS. EDP DCS has 10 years’ experience of building and deploying racks for its customers, with the scope of its services ranging from the installation of rack power distribution units only, through to full systems rack and stack.
